For years, I have had fake acrylic nails, but I stopped about 5 months ago. My thumb nail has split down the middle. What do you suggest?[/testimonial][/testimonials][separator style_type=”none” top_margin=”” bottom_margin=”20″ sep_color=”” icon=”” width=”” class=”” id=””][title size=”1″ content_align=”left” style_type=”single” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Answer[/title][testimonials design=”classic” backgroundcolor=”” textcolor=”” class=”” id=””][testimonial name=”” avatar=”male” image=”” image_border_radius=”” company=”” link=”” target=”_self”]We have got a couple things that we may be able to help you with here. When you put those glued-on products over the nails, the nail tends to weaken, particularly when you peel it off.

It takes over a year for the nails to fully grow out. You are just starting this process, because it takes a long time. The trick to this is to not rip these fake nails off. Try to get them smooth and get them back to good shape. Then you can take some supplements to strengthen the nails from a nutritional standpoint.

We have one product called HS, which is very similar to what you can buy commercially, except it costs less and it actually has the right material in it. But, generally speaking, if you want to increase the rate with which the nails grow, you have to look at the area of the nail called the “lunate,” which is the white area at the base.

If you have ripped off the fake nails, you should be able to see these lunates. If you can hardly see the lunate at all, this is a soft indicator of thyroid disease. Hypothyroidism will cause the nails to grow very slowly.

We typically raise thyroid levels, which speeds up the process with which the nails grow. Mine grow like crazy. Why? Because I have my thyroid levels at optimal levels. The other thing you can do, and this sounds really weird, but it does work, is to put Kink-Ease lotion on the nails and hands. I invented this stuff for my daughter’s horse. It was not until several ears later that I realized that it was good for people, as well. We found this out because when you apply it to your horse, it ends up on the operator’s hands.

When Kink-Ease ends up on the hands, the MSM opens the blood vessels to the fingers. It opens them up elsewhere as well, and that increases the rate of fingernail growth.

When you apply this stuff to the hands, the temperature in the hands and fingers increases a couple degrees. Why does this happen? The MSM in the Kink-Ease is a vasodilator. If you really want to make the process quicker, simply get the kink ease lotion and wipe your hands with it. Do this a couple times a day, and that should speed the process up.
